Medical Report:
Chief Forbush gave a brief report: Region 2 South Funding model e-mail was sent out to pertinent communities. Allocations for Fire Depts in Western Wayne area seem sufficiently increased most likely due to our HEMS membership. These distributed funds needs to be spent by the end of this month. Should we take a position that unassigned funds be routed to the special rescue teams, instead of individual communities. A unanimous motion and approval of this suggestion was supported. Two CQI reports need to be completed by June. If you’re using some form of Data Submission, start submitting it. Feel free to contact HEMS for more info. Chief Rorabacher reported the Board of Trustees meeting last week. Discussed the H1N1 vaccine, and the epi incident that occurred a few months ago.

Old Business
MABAS
Chief Marinucci asked about turning in completed MABAS run cards. In the future, they’ll be turned into the state. Right now, just keep them internal. Jeff Johnson suggested to formalize your MABAS forms with your dispatch centers. They need those run cards, as well as your command staff. There is a lot of MABAS information on the MIChiefs.org website. Chief Tenniswood suggested a standard sign-off sheet be distributed. Chief Gomulka confirmed that box alarm cards need not be turned in until neighboring communities sign on.
Chief Rorabacher reported on the status of the Interlocal. We hope to have it adopted within the next couple of months.
Condolence Policy report from George Zalucki. In-depth review and discussion of handout which details the framework of proposed policy. Bruce Tenniswood made motion, seconded by Carnell, to have tiers of condolence funding (i.e. $500 for category 1-2, $250 for Category 2-4, and $100 for Category 5-6). Discussion followed, $500 was only max number. LODD’s involve much emotion. Policy as written provides appropriate discretion to Board Members. Send flowers & card automatically. After much discussion, Bruce Tenniswood made motion to only send flowers & card (up to $150 total cost). Unanimous acceptance of $150 across the board.
